We are amazed about all these collaborations for the summer month which is consequently the poorest selling season since most of us just use our Spring clothing for summer wear. In an attempt to pick up sales, companies have turned to celebrities, designers and even bloggers in hopes that thier fans would turn the down wind months to windfall ones.
Amrapali for lucky Brand
Famous for her Indian meets graphic metal work, Amrapali has a league of celebrity fans including Kate Beckinsale so no surprise that Lucky brand has tapped the designer for a collaboration. The prices are standard luck brand ranging 55 and up but the inclusion of real stones makes the pieces worth the price and then some.
We dream the pieces will feature enamels, cutouts, semi-circle shapes and of course, real stones since Amrapali never works with anything less.
Sam Edelmann revisits Sam & Libby for Target
Sam & Libby went off the radar due to sales but Sam Edelmann is relaunching his lower end line for Target. The line will combine solid colors with paintlike prints, wedge heels and flats all with a reasonable price tag starting at 24.99. According to Twins Cities Business, Target said the partnership is on-going and has this to say about the collaboration:
“Sam and Libby are pioneers in the footwear industry, and this partnership delivers the designer fashion and affordable prices our guests love finding at Target,” Trish Adams, Target’s senior vice president of apparel and accessories, said in a statement. “The attention to detail reflected in each style is incredible, and we look forward to adding Sam & Libby for Target to our roster of exclusive brands.”
The line debuts May 5 and will feature over 20 styles.
